The NYU School of Global Public Health mission is “to improve the health of populations by engineering solution solutions that advance health equity around the world today and tomorrow.” As a prominent design feature in the new public space, the 27’L x 15’H living wall is intended to serve as a garden of respite where students, faculty, and visitors can experience the calming effects of plants, take in a breath of fresh air, and enjoy a healthy space. The planting design includes striking specimen staghorn ferns, vibrant anthuriums with coral-colored blooms, and cascading rhipsalis for some added drama.
